TOPIC:  TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE

TEXT:  "That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor"  (1 Thessalonians 4:4).

The moral decadence in the world we live in is at an alarming proportion. And on daily basis you have a decision to make to either live for God or join whatever is trending both our streets and the social media. Yielding to the world might come at a higher price than the gain it portends. But regardless God has given us the power to take charge of our lives.

When you read about the life of Joseph, it isn’t hard to see that his ability to live in self-control elevated him to prominence. When Potiphar’s wife tried countless times to get Joseph to sleep with her, Joseph emphatically refused. One day when she grabbed him and he ran from her, she made up a lie and told her husband that Joseph tried to rape her. Her husband was angry and threw Joseph in prison. However, immediately after it happened, Genesis 39:21 says, “But the Lord was with Joseph.” The Lord saw Joseph’s self-control and defended him. Eventually, Joseph was elevated to second-in-command in Egypt. His ability to govern himself caused him to go from the prison to a position of leadership. The result was that he played a key role in saving countless lives from famine, including that of his own family.

Every believer should ask the Lord to show them where they need to exhibit more self-control so that temptation doesn’t eventually get the better of them and cut short their potential for destiny. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you be in charge of your own vessel today, because God wants you to be a key player in bringing salvation to your generation and fulfill your God given destiny.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Taking charge of your life requires that you make daily choices as to which impulse you respond or react to.

TOPIC:  MANIFESTING THE LIFE OF GOD

TEXT: He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things (Acts 17:25).

When God made Adam, he didn’t come to life until God breathed into him (see Gen. 2:7). Breath gives life, both spiritually and physically. Health experts say that there are certain health benefits to clear and proper breathing. 

In addition to other important lifestyle changes, some reports have said that deep and proper breathing techniques can reduce high blood pressure by increasing oxygen in the blood. Many who have suffered from things such as allergies, asthma, and similar conditions that affect the ability to take clear and deep breaths know how a lack of good breathing can reduce the quality of life. When God breathed into Adam, it gave him physical life. Then later, Jesus breathed on His disciples to receive the Holy Spirit which gave them spiritual life (see John 20:22). Acts 17:25 says that God gives both life and breath and provision for all things.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Take a deep breath today and let the life of God fill your lungs and your soul. Even if your breathing has been hindered by a physical condition, do so by faith and declare that because God is the author of life you can breathe deeply. Let each deep breath cause you to you see yourself drinking in the life of God, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Receive a Holy Spirit breath of fresh air in Jesus name

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today, I declare that I receive the fresh breath of the Holy Spirit. The life of God is flowing through every veins and arteries in my body. My spirit, soul and body is renewed and invigorated in Jesus name

TOPIC: GOOD LIVING BY GOOD THINKING

TEXT:    "The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways" (Proverbs 14:8)

A man's life flows in the direction of his most dominant thoughts. Whatever is dominating your thoughts will eventually dominate your life. 

In his book titled As a Man Thinketh, James Allen says, 'All that man achieves or fail to achieve, is a direct result of his thoughts.' Therefore, it’s important to place premium on good thinking. You need to make it a life priority. Success doesn't come by accident; you don’t stumble into it and then figure it out afterwards. Whether you are a minister, a teacher or a business man, a parent or whatever, your level of success will increase dramatically if you place a high value on good thinking. The better your thinking, the better your prospect in life. Therefore, a small man is made up of small thoughts and vice-versa.

Those that don’t develop the habit of good thinking usually find themselves at the mercy of circumstances or other people's thoughts. They are unable to solve problems. They found themselves facing the same problems over and over. And because they don’t think ahead they are habitually in reaction mode.

Ponder these words: 'Capital isn't so important. Experience isn't either. You can get both of these things. What's important is ideas. If you have good ideas, you have the main asset you need for success in life and there isn't any limit to what you can do. Solomon writes 'As he thinketh in his heart so is he (Pro 23:7). Many are not moving forward because their thoughts are anchored in the past. Its time pull up your anchor and set your sail forward in your mind. Where God is taking you is greater and better than where you've ever been.

Spend at least 15 minutes to think on paper daily

TEXT: Quench not the spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19).

God said in Isaiah that we are made for life of signs and wonders(Isaiah 8:18). Meaning that by our connection to God your life should  depict the very nature of our father-simply miraculous. But due to ignorance of this fact most of us go about living our life below God’s expectation for us. Most live in fear and unbelief  so they could not put the power of God to the test in their lives and this  quenches the workings of the Holy Spirit

There are many ways people quench the Holy Spirit, and some have done so out of a well-meaning heart. Often pre-conceived ideas and teachings have caused people to quench the Holy Spirit. They are afraid that they will get mixed up in something false. Still others quench Him because they think some people will not understand or may become fearful of the Lord moving in a supernatural way. However, we need to know that the darker things become in the world, the more we need the power of God to work in a real and tangible way. If the Holy Spirit wants to give us visions or bring about a miraculous healing, then we should welcome it even when it manifests in an unusual fashion. The way to recognize the difference between the genuine work of the Holy Spirit and something false is by comparing it to what God did in the Bible. In the Bible, God did many unusual signs and wonders, so we should not think it odd to experience them today. He used these unusual and undeniable wonders to even convince the most defiant of unbelievers. We find in Scripture that in the last days these manifestations will increase and the church must embrace this work of the Holy Spirit like never before. So don’t quench or hide the Holy Spirit’s work, but let Him burn like a fire around your life today! Its your season of supernatural manifestations

TOPIC: ESCAPING THE ENEMY’S TRAP

TEXT:  “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler… "(Psalm 91:3)

Traps are devices that hidden out of sight with the intention to do harm to another. It can range from been caught making a wrong statement to signing a document that will implicate and complicate a person’s life.

During Jesus’ ministry, the Pharisees and religious leaders of the day tried many times to trap Him. Mark 14:1 (AMP) says they were using secrecy and deceit to trap him. Yet their repeated attempts to take Him out always failed. Every attempt was somehow either thwarted or exposed. Why? It’s because there was an anointing upon Jesus, making them unable to touch Him even when Jesus was plainly within reach. He either knew their intentions or supernaturally escaped their traps. It wasn’t until

Jesus gave Himself into their hands to be crucified that they were able to lay hold of Him. As heirs of Christ, we also need to know that the Lord is delivering us from the traps of the enemy. Instead of falling into the subtle traps of deception, sins, false doctrine, and offenses, the anointing causes us to see them in advance and avoid them (see 1 John 2:26-27). The Lord can show you when a trap has been set for you if you are willing and open in your heart to the Holy Spirit. We also need faith to believe that we will supernaturally avoid and escape the traps we don’t see. Trust the Lord today that every trap of the enemy laid in your path will be exposed! And you shall escape!

Trust the LORD to order your feet into the paths of peace today and everyday

TOPIC: THE TIPPING POINT

TEXT: "Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God" (Rom 12:1)

It has been observed that struggling businesses are often turned around by one key decision. Many once struggling companies are now thriving because of a choice that became the tipping point.

Though targeted to those in business management, the principle also applies to those who are committed to advancing the course of Christ in their daily lives sometimes we find ourselves up against a wall, struggling with a decision, or situation that threatens to cripple our capacity for effective service to our King. It's at those critical junctures we can make a "tipping point" decision to turn things around. What's the decision? Surrender your will and heart to God. James 4:7 says, "Submit to God". And Romans 12:1 tells us "Present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God". Be willing to sacrifice your agenda for His greater purposes. What if Noah had told God "I don’t do boats". What if Joseph had not forgiven his brothers and failed to protect them from the life threatening famine? Or what if Jesus had refused to die on the cross? Surrender is the tipping point. When we make that choice, God can use us to do great things for Him. Surrender becomes victory when you yield to God completely.

TOPIC: THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

TEXT: Luke 1: 31
".....And shall call His name Jesus

Names are important. Parents may spend months researching deciding on the perfect name of their baby. Often, the final decision is based on their meaning, how it sounds,and  uniqueness. There are people that God changed their names in the Bible so as to establish their destiny. And for those of us that trust in Jesus as our saviour  and are from that time on identified by His name, experience a transformation that the name brings.

There is a powerful significance attached to the name of Jesus. The Apostles performed miracles (Acts 3:6-7,16; 4:10) and cast out demons in His name (Luke 10:17). They spoke and taught in the name of Jesus. They baptize believers in the name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38). And its through the name of Jesus that we have access to the father(Acts 4:12).
When we become Christians we share in that worthy name. And as we follow Christ, we are able to reflect His light to any darkness we encounter, whether in our neighbourhood, workplace or home. Our prayer should be that when people see us they will see Christ.
Our name may have meaning or significance. But let's use this season to seek God deeper, so as to connect to the deeper revelation of the name of Jesus, because the name of Jesus is the name that has the power to transform.

TOPIC:  ELEVATED ABOVE THE LIMITS

TEXT: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him (1 Peter 3:22).

The devil works to limit you but by reason of Christ ascension into the heavens you have been raised with Jesus above whatever the enemy is doing to limit the fulfillment of God’s word in your life. Therefore, if there is any revelation we need to get down inside of our spirit, it is the revelation what Christ has done for us and of who we are in Him. Often the reason we allow our minds to get overwhelmed by life is because we forget where we have been seated. Ephesians 2:6 says, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” You have been seated with Christ! The enemy tries to throw all sorts of threatening thoughts and attacks against us. Yet, it’s much harder for any of those efforts to succeed when you know who you are seated next to! Not only are you seated next to Jesus, but that location places you above the enemy’s attempts. That is because according to 1 Peter 3:22, all powers have been made subject unto Him! Nothing can stand up to Jesus!

So get bold and take every problem you are facing today and see it submitting to you. You may even consider writing those problems on paper, then putting it on the floor and standing on it just to remind yourself that these things are submitted under your feet. Not only are these problems subject to Jesus, but they are subject to you because you are seated with Him. Everything the devil has tried to do submits to you today!

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Regardless of your circumstances, constantly see yourself where God has exalted you rather than where circumstances have brought you down to.
           

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. I declare this day Lord, I know that I am seated with Christ today. I declare every demonic attack is under my feet and must submit to me because they must submit to Jesus. All powers are subject to Christ and I have overcome them! In Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS

*Father thank you for bringing me and my family to this wonderful day and month in Jesus name

*Father God thank you for giving me victory over every works of the enemy in Jesus name

*I subdue every power of darkness challenging the fulfillment of my destiny in Jesus name

*Every satanic devices that’s been used to monitor my life catch fire now in Jesus name

*I crush every opposition at work against my position and promotion in Jesus name

*I uproot every obstacles making life difficult for me and my family in Jesus name

*Yokes of hardship and non-achievement at work against my life. Break by fire in Jesus name

*Every evil hand manipulating the fulfillment of my destiny wither by fire in Jesus name

*Father God plant my feet on higher grounds this new month in Jesus name

*Father God, my life is available; perform the good things you have promised me this month in Jesus name

  *Father God by your goodness let great joy and gladness break forth in my career and life in Jesus name

*Thank you Lord for hearing and answering my prayers in Jesus name
