TOPIC:  UNKNOWN FUTURE IN THE HAND OF A FAITHFUL GOD

TEXT: "By faith Abraham obeyed...And he went out not knowing where he was going" (Hebrew 11:8)

Today is the last day in 2018 and few hours from from now we are going to transition into what seem to be an unknown future. The good news is we know the LORD and He knows and holds our future, no reason to fear. By faith Let's put our hand in God's  hand

Life is a journey of faith. It's linked by various transitions and movements from one place to another and from one season to another.

When Abraham was 75 years old, God called him to leave the land of his father. And so, advanced in years, he departed for the land of Canaan. He was rootless and homeless "not knowing where he was going.(Hebrew 11:8). That was the story of Abraham's Life
Every season that comes and goes bring changes and uncertainties to our lives. Sometimes when God is bringing you into a new season of your life, its like transmitting from a familiar to an uncertain future. Like Abraham, many of us might be wondering what tomorrow holds. Particularly when all the news reports about the world socio-economic wellbeing is not very encouraging and secondly, when the strength of youthfulness is no longer on your side, yet we can be confident that our wellbeing is not founded on the economic premise of this world, but upon God Himself. Our safekeeping does not lie in the place we live but in the presence of God. We can dwell in the secret place of the most high, and abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalm 91:1). There in His presence, under His wings, we find refuge(v:4). The eternal God becomes our dwelling place and our sustenance.
Though our dwelling place here on earth may be uncertain, God will be our companion and friend till we realize and fulfill the glorious destiny He has ordained for us.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Today let the LORD know you are trusting Him with your future by sharing your plan for the coming year with Him in prayer

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Thy will be done this day! Today is a day of completion and breaking fort. I give thanks for this perfect day, miracle shall follow miracles and wonders shall never cease in my life in Jesus name.

TOPIC: PREPARING FOR A BETTER FUTURE

TEXT:  “A man’s heart devices his way but the Lord ordered his steps”(Pro.16:9)

Before you were born and before you ever came into this world, God has ordained your life to follow a divinely crafted plan. We were chosen having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out all things in conformity with His will.

God has always had His eyes on you and has designed you to live that glorious life and that includes the things you sometime want to run away from. When Jonah tried to run from God to Tashish, God said No way! My plan is in place. He couldn’t escape the path that God has chosen for him, storm came up in His situation to wake him up to need for him to obey. Sometimes God might need to put your life on hold for Him to achieve His purpose in your life. When Jonah could no longer run, he prayed and God answered him so that he went and preached in Nineveh his original destination. In the entire scripture there has never been a record of someone with such an anointing that swept the city like a Tsunami to the extent that the entire city repented even the animals were made to fast.(see Jonah 32:4-10).

Most of us have had similar experiences. We think ahead and carefully work out a plan. We picture in our minds with great detail how our future or the future of our loved one is going to unfold. It is always good to plan and dream and think ahead, but we must always be opened to God changes and direction. No matter your plans, let God direct your steps in thr coming year God will never mislead us when we trust in Him with all our heart; His way is always the path to great manifestations and fulfillment

Make up your mind to walk with Him and follow where He leads you this new week and the new year because where God finger points, there His hand will make a way.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY
Make it a point of duty to acknowledge The LORD’s presence today, waiting, listening and ready to obey whatever He tell you to do.

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. I declare this day that as I go into this week and the new year God is bringing me into the centre of great events ordained for career and destiny. This week I step into open doors, I walk in total victory, I have God’s supernatural abundance, goodness and mercy shall follow me as I follow God into this week in Jesus name

TOPIC:  CONNECTION FOR DESTINY COLLECTIONS

TEXT:  ""It's time to seek the Lord"(Hosea 10:12NKJV)

Your connection is what determines your collection. In other words God has great things laid up for you in the coming year, seeking His face in prayer positions you to receive His blessing on your life in the new year.

The place of prayer is where you meet with God to be instructed, corrected, cleansed, loved, built up and prepared to do His will. It can be anywhere, but it must be somewhere! It can be anytime, but it must be a set time, without prayer, what do you have to draw on? You will work harder and harder and accomplish less and less because you are operating in your own strength. But after you've prayed you will struggle less and accomplish more because you are operating in God's strength. If you are spending hours watching television and enjoying yourself with friends and family and say you've no time to pray, 'it’s time to seek the Lord. ‘If you are living comfortably with sin that once trouble you, 'it time to seek the Lord'. If you're speaking word of bitterness towards someone who hurt you, 'its time to seek the Lord'. If having material things consumes your energy that there is none left for God and your family, its time to seek the Lord. The New Testament Church grew so fast that the Apostles found themselves with no time to pray. So they said, it’s not right...'(Acts 6). That's where you must start ! If you have forsaken the place of prayer, it will show up in your attitudes and actions. What did the Apostles do? They said,'...we will give ourselves to prayer... (Acts 6:4). And look at what happened, '...the word of God increased, and the number of disciples multiplied....'(Acts 6:7). If you've gotten this far this year with little prayer, inconsistent prayer, no prayers at all, think about how far you will go in the coming year when you begin to pray and seek God's  face for your life and destiny.

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. I declare this day that I receive new grace to seek the Lord. I receive the spirit of grace and supplication and the heaven above me is opened for unprecedented answers in Jesus name.

TOPIC: GETTING GOD'S VISION FOR YOUR FUTURE

TEXT: "Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions."
Psalms 119:18 NLT

As we approach the turn of the year, it's of uttermost importance that we begin to have peep into those great things which the LORD will be bringing to pass in our lives. And the good news is God is more than willing to reveal them to us.

The Bible is filled with hundreds of examples of people getting God’s vision, like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Hosea, Jonah, and Micah. Seeing God’s vision for your life is not a crazy thing. God often uses a mental picture to clarify the next step he wants you to take.

I don’t have to explain this to many of you because you’re visual thinkers. When you read a story in the Bible, you can see that story in vivid Technicolor. When you read a book, you’re picturing the story in your mind the whole time.

But for the rest of us, it’s a little harder. I am not a visual thinker. I tend to think in words, not pictures.

So how do you get God’s vision if you’re not a visual thinker?

First, ask God a specific question.

In your quiet time, after you’ve read the Bible and prayed, maybe you’re just being quiet and waiting before God. You could ask, “God, is there anything you want to say to me?” And then you wait. “God, is there anything I need to know that I’m not thinking about?” And then you wait.

James 1:5 says, “If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won’t correct you for asking” (CEV). God wants you to ask him for advice, and he wants you to be specific. He’s waiting for you to ask!

Second, look into God’s Word to see what God might want to say to you.

Psalm 119:18 is a verse you should memorize: “Open my eyes, so that I may see the wonderful truths in your law” (TEV). It’s a good verse to pray as you open up God’s Word. Every answer to every problem you have is in that book. But you’ve got to read it, study it, memorize it, and meditate on it as you seek God’s vision for your life or even just for today.

Start to prepare for the coming year by seeking the Lord concerning your future today.

ANSWERS BEYOND EXPECTATION

TOPIC:  ANSWERS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

TEXT:  "Oh, that you would rend the heavens! That you would come down! (Isa.64: 1)

"Rend the heavens" and come down" pleaded the Prophet  Isaiah. Make your name known by making the mountains shake and the nations tremble, he advised the Lord (Isaiah 64:1-3).
Isaiah wanted God to behave as he had in the past. Recalling the scripture about God's visit with Moses on Mt. Sinai, Isaiah longed for a repeat performance.
But God had already told Isaiah that he would be doing something new. "Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them(42:9)
The "something new" was Jesus! God did indeed come down. But not in Isaiah's lifetime. And not in dramatic fashion he longed for. "He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street"(42:2). He came in the unassuming form of an infant.
Many of us can remember a situation when God was amazingly timely in His response to our need. Like Isaiah, we want God to do the same thing again. But perhaps He has something else in mind. As you celebrate God's humble descent to earth, be aware that He came to change our hearts, not just our circumstances. God's answers to our prayers may exceed our expectations. So look out today as the LORD will move to bring miracles to your life in ways you least expect.

TOPIC:  KEEP YOUR MIND POSITIVE

TEXT:  "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any
praise, think of these things" (Philippians 4:8).

Human nature easily focuses on the negative
things of life because it’s what has a tendency
to steal our attention. For example, in a
classroom there could be 29 excellent students,
but it’s that one disobedient child who demands
the teacher’s attention. Another example is when
someone mistreats you. Everyone you met that day could have treated you like royalty, but your
mind wants to zone in on the mean one. When it comes to paying bills, every bill
could be paid, but it’s that one that you didn’t have enough money for that gets you. And finally as the year is coming to an end, the enemy might want to keep you focused on the things  you coukdnt accomplish this year rather than the mercy of God that has kept you and yours thus far. I believe the reason Philippians 4:8 was written is because we have to make a conscious effort to emphasize the good. If we don’t, our minds will do just the opposite and we start to think everything is going downhill when that is the farthest from the truth! Consider making a short list today of all the good
things that happen. It will change your
perspective and help you realize that when you
focus on the good, the good things are far
outweighing the bad. You will even find that the
good things are not only abundant, but actually
multiplying all around you!

Keep your focus on the positive things that's happening in and around you

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work.  Today I declare that the peace of God that passes all understanding is upon my life. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places in Jesus name.

*Father God, thank you for your grace and mercy over my life and family in Jesus name

*Father, I make a conscious effort to focus on the
good things in my life today. I choose not to give my attention to the negative things, and I thank You that good is going to multiply all around me in Jesus name

TOPIC: JESUS -HISTORY CHANGER

TEXT " There is born to you this day in the city of David, a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord"(Luke 2:12)

There are many events that have changed and shaped the course of history but none can be compared to the descent of Jesus, whose life has not only changed several generations but many generations yet unborn.

Today, we can make international calls, stream live videos, do conference  voice and video calls and download tons images into our computer and devices. Its difficult to imagine that all of these was made possible by a small satellite the size of a soccer ball. On October 4 1957, the Soviet union launched an artificial satellite called Sputnik 1, and ushered in the modern Space age and changed the course of history. Nations rushed to catch up, technological development accelerated, and fear alternated with hope about the meaning of it all for all humanity.
But the event that alter the present and the future sometimes occur in obscurity. That was true of the birth of Jesus. Just one baby, born to an ordinary couple in a small town of Bethlehem. But it changed the course of history.. The words of an Angel spoken to the Shepherd began to spread: "There is born you this day in the city of David, a Saviour , who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11).
When we open our lives to Christ the Lord and acknowledge Him as Saviour, the course of our future history is changed for time and eternity. These good things of great Joy" are for everyone and everywhere. Its definitely for you today. Merry Christmas

TOPIC: THE POWER IN HIS NAME

TEXT: Luke 1: 31
".....And shall call His name Jesus

Names are important. Parents may spend months researching deciding on the perfect name of their baby. Often, the final decision is based on their meaning, how it sounds,and  uniqueness. There are people that God changed their names in the Bible so as to establish their destiny. And for those of us that trust in Jesus as our saviour  and are from that time on identified by His name, experience a transformation that the name brings.

There is a powerful significance attached to the name of Jesus. The Apostles performed miracles (Acts 3:6-7,16; 4:10) and cast out demons in His name (Luke 10:17). They spoke and taught in the name of Jesus. They baptize believers in the name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38). And its through the name of Jesus that we have access to the father(Acts 4:12).
When we become Christians we share in that worthy name. And as we follow Christ, we are able to reflect His light to any darkness we encounter, whether in our neighbourhood, workplace or home. Our prayer should be that when people see us they will see Christ.
Our name may have meaning or significance. But let's use this season to seek God deeper, so as to connect to the deeper revelation of the name of Jesus, because the name of Jesus is the name that has the power to transform.

TOPIC:  THE BLESSEDNESS OF THANKGIVING

TEXT:  "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, O most high." (Psalm 92:1)

Psalm 92 is a "song for the Sabbath day", a resting place for those who are troubled.
The song begins with a commendation of praise:

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord." It does us good to turn our unsettling and anxious thought to declare God's "loving kindness in the morning, and (His) faithfulness every night"(v:2). God loves us and is always faithful! He makes us glad.(v:4). Praise doesn't just make us glad, it makes us wise. We begin to understand something of God's greatness and creative design in all that He does (v:5-9). We gain wisdom that was hidden from those who do not know God. The wicked may "flourish" and "spring up like the grass" for a moment (v:7), but ultimately they will wither away. The righteous however, are joined to the one who dwells in eternity (v:8). They "flourish like the palm tree" and "like a cedar in Lebanon"(v:12), symbols of graceful beauty and an unbending strength. For they have been "planted in the house of the LORD"(v:13). Their roots go down into the soil of God's faithfulness: they draw on His unquenchable love.
Give thanks and praise to the Lord today.

TOPIC: USE YOUR AUTHORITY

TEXT: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: but lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea” (Exodus 14:14-16).

Our God is a fighter and He always uses simple strategies to win great battles. In our text, Israel was confronted with a challenge that stagnated their faith; they were hedged in between what one can call ‘the devil and bloody red sea’. With nowhere to go Moses cried to the Lord and He told Moses to divide the sea using the rod in his hand. There is something the Lord will want you to do to surmount the odds against your advancement in life.

Many years ago when we started out in ministry there was a point in our lives that it seemed like there was one storm after another. I am sure every believer can say identify with that! We felt like we were in a constant storm with only moments of relief. Our mentor back then gave us some simple but incredible wisdom. He said, “Though there are many storms, there is only one devil.” That really took the magnitude out of our problems. The devil was behind all of it and we needed to use our authority and keep pressing forward. Sometimes, our tendency is to retreat or beg God. In the Scripture above, the Lord told Moses, “Why are you crying to Me? Use your rod, Moses, and go forward!” God knew He had put authority in Moses’ rod! We have been given our rod of authority through Jesus’ Name. Ephesians 2:6 says we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all evil powers and might. So don’t retreat from the devil today, just raise your rod of authority and move forward!

WORD CONFESSION
I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. I declare this day that my life is moving forward regardless of the circumstances and happenstances my life. My stumbling blocks are become my stepping stones in Jesus name

TOPIC: GOD IS WATCHING OVER YOU

TEXT: "(Hagar called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You are the God who sees; for she said, " have I also here seen Him who sees me?"

The world is filled with high tech gadgets that can help you find things in an instant, but as useful as these gadgets are they would have done Hagar no good. No one seems to care enough about Hagar and her unborn child to monitor their wellbeing in the desert. No one but El ROI--Hebrew for "you are the God who sees"(Genesis 16:13).
Hagar served Sarai, Abraham's wife. Sarai felt like a weak link in the chain of God's promise to bless Abram with many descendants. She was barren so she told Abram to sleep with her maid servant and build a family through her. This ill-advised suggestion-born amid intense cultural pressure to provide an heir led to nothing but trouble. When Hagar became pregnant, she despised Sarai for her inability to have children. Then Sarai treated Hagar so badly that she ran away. There in the desert feeling the misery of her past and the uncertainty of her future, Hagar met God, who saw her and took care of her.
Jehovah (El ROI) sees your past miseries, your present pain and your uncertain future. He is watching over you, He is so watchful that He knows when a strand of hair falls from your head, He knows when the smallest sparrow perishes (Matthew 10:28-31). And He is the God who sees and cares for you today. You can entrust an unknown future to a known God. So keep your eyes upon the Lord, because He never takes His eyes off you.

TOPIC:  THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING

Text: "If one offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall
offer with the thank offering unleavened cakes
mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with
oil, and cakes of fine flour mixed with oil" (Lev. 7:12 AMP)

This is our month of Thanksgiving celebration and many of us already have a lot to be thankful for. As we are preparing to cross over into the coming year, it's also important for to prepare a list of all the good things The LORD has done for us this year so we can offer an acceptable sacrifice of thanksgiving to Him.

When God taught the priests of the Old
Testament to bring an offering of thanksgiving
before Him, they were instructed to bring it in
the form of unleavened cakes mixed with oil.
These two elements are key ingredients that
have prophetic significance for us in how we
offer praise to the Lord today. We know the
unleavened bread represented purity and a holy
lifestyle (see 1 Cor. 5:6-8). Oil represents the
anointing of the Holy Spirit. Notice in the verse
above that the unleavened cakes were brushed
over with oil.
When we offer thanksgiving to the Lord in the
environment of a holy lifestyle, the oil of the
Holy Spirit washes over us and our lives literally
become covered in the anointing. One of the
ways David offered thanksgiving to God all
through the Book of Psalms was to rehearse a
list of things God had done for him. Rehearse to
God the good He has done for you and allow that
praise to cause the oil of a fresh anointing to
wash over every aspect of your life today. As you begin to do this all through this day and this month, the power (the anointing) of God will be released for miracles and blessing will be sure to
follow. So rejoice.

In all things learn to give thanks by making a list of all He has done for you.

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. And I declare this day that the oil of gladness and great joy is flowing in my life. I receive the garment of praise today for the spirit of heaviness in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: REKINDLE THE FIRE

TEXT:  "Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and He opened the scriptures to us?" (Luke 24:32)

In the book of Acts 17, Apostle Paul went to Mars Hill to declare the truth of Christ's resurrection. Many listeners gathered there were not spiritual seekers. Luke who wrote the book of Acts records that they spent their days simply wanting to discuss the latest news ideas with little interest in acting on what they learned (v:21).
Too much information can be dangerous. All the ideas can blur together and become incoherent, leaving us unchanged by what we know.
Centuries ago, the  historian Plutarch warned of the danger on living on a purely informational level. He widely said " The mind is not a vessel to be stirred but a fire to be kindled."
The followers of Christ on the way to Emmaus would have agreed( Luke 24). As the grieved the death of Jesus, the risen Christ Himself joined them but hid His identity. He began instructing them on the ancient prophecies of those events found throughout the old testament. Later that day, Christ revealed Himself to them and then departed.
After Jesus' departure they marvelled at what they had heard. The things He taught were not sterile facts but fire that kindled their hearts with devotion for Him. May we likewise trust the Shepherd of our soul to kindle our hearts as we grow in His word.

TOPIC : SUDDEN INTERVENTION THROUGH THANKSGIVING

TEXT  "And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so
that the foundations of the prison were shaken:
and immediately all the doors were opened, and
everyone’s bands were loosed"(,Acts 16:26)

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were in prison with
their feet and hands in stocks, while their backs
were bleeding from a beating they had received
earlier for preaching Christ. Without a doubt, they
were uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. While
their situation may have appeared hopeless, they
didn’t complain and question God as to why He allowed them to go through this trying time.
Instead, they chose to worship the Lord in the
middle of their pain, in the middle of their
darkest moment. When all hope seemed lost,
they praised the Lord with joy! Instead of looking
at the chains and prison walls, and they saw God
who is not bound by prison doors! Because of
that, God stepped in with sudden and immediate
intervention. Stop seeing your prison walls today.
Stop seeing your impossibilities and look to a
God who can deliver you from your most trying
situations as you praise Him in this season of thanksgiving . Praise Him today
and every day, then see the power of God’s
sudden intervention as we go towards the end of the year.

Take your eyes off whatever makes you stop and start celebrating God's faithfulness.

TOPIC : WISDOM FOR LIVING THE BETTER LIFE

TEXT: "How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver"(Proverbs 16:16).

People all over the world are always looking for the better items, better health services, better service delivery etc. Politicians all over the world win elections by promising a 'better' life for their people. We examine, we ponder and finally make a choice based on what we believe is better. I've have never heard anybody saying 'this one is worse, so I will take it'. Everybody wants a better life, but how do we get it.

The book of proverbs is full of comparisons that points us toward the right pathway in life, showing us what's batter for us. So its not strange to find statements saying 'this is better than that'
In the book of proverbs chapter 16, we read its better to get wisdom than gold or silver(vs 16).: better to be humble among the poor than to be proud among the wealthy (v 19): better to control our temper than to rule a city (v32). Some have the ability to be both wise and wealthy, but when faced with choice between the two, Proverbs says wisdom is the better alternative. Living the better life begin when we allow the word of God to shape our thinking and guide our choices. We will always be shown the way to the better life.

The path to the life that God has planned for you is available for you for the asking. It can be a reality when we begin to think better thoughts based on the word of God.

Living the better life starts with making better choices, so ask yourself "what better choices must I make today"?

TEXT: “when they were alone He explained all things to His disciples” (Mark 4:34)

A recent survey confirms what most of us suspects; stress increases as work encroaches more and more on our personal time. The electronic age hasn’t slowed the onslaught of mails, books and periodicals.

We must read just to keep up. A PR consultant who fields four hundred emails, one hundred phone calls and twenty text messages every day says ‘I used to stop working when it got too late to make calls, but now I am never finished. Now she lives in a country behind the mountain because no phone signals there, and if they ever erect a mobile transmitter mast she says she will move!

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of city life, its critical to schedule one on one time with God, otherwise the supernatural things won’t happen. Mark says ‘when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples. There are things the Lord will reveal to you alone when you meditate with all your heart…and be still (Psalm4:4). It is said the ancient fathers used to commit themselves to disciplinary creed, silence, solitude and inner peace. Only after adequate amount of time they consider it fit to speak. Among many Christians today there are strange logic suggesting the spiritual resources are found in seeking new voices, attending more meetings, listening to incessant music, and gathering to exchange half thought out opinions. How often do we fall into the trap of believing that God is most pleased when we’ve maximized our information, our schedules, and our relationships? Disengagement means silence before God…a time of heavenly discussion during which we listen more than we speak. And silence demand solitude. The bottom line is, you need one on one time with the Lord.
