TOPIC: DEVELOP THE 'YES LORD ' ATTITUDE

TEXT: "And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest."

(Luke 8:15 NLT)

God speaks to people who decide they’re going to do what he tells them to do, even before he tells them. It’s saying, “God, if you want me to move, I’ll move. If you want me to get married, I’ll get married. If you want me to leave this job, I’ll leave this job. Before you even tell me, my answer is ‘yes.’ Whatever you want me to do, I will do it.”

Luke 8:15 says, “The seeds that fell in good soil stand for those who hear the message and retain it in a good and obedient heart, and they persist until they bear fruit” (TEV).

I used to study this parable of Jesus and think it was talking about four kinds of people: those who are resistant, those who are shallow, those who are busy, and those who are good. 

But this parable actually represents four attitudes. You can have all four attitudes in the same day! One moment you go, “God, I don’t want to hear you, because I know what you’re going to say.” And the next moment you say, “Lord, tell me quick.” Then you hear it and think it’s good, but you don’t do anything about it. Maybe the fruit starts to bear in your life, but then you get busy with your job or school or your kids, and the weeds grow up. Then other times you say, “God, whatever you want. I’m totally open to you.”

God wants you to have an attitude of obedience so that you can bear fruit — the biblical term for being successful. God wants you to be fruitful in your business, your family, your friendships, your relationship with God and with others, and your health.

So how do you bear fruit when God tells you something? You pass it on. When God tells you something, the quickest way to let it bear fruit in your life is to tell somebody else what you just learned. 

Another translation of Luke 8:15 says, “They listen to God’s words and cling to them and steadily spread them to others who also soon believe” (LB). God wants you believe what He tells you and   pass on to others what you learn. This attitude towards God positions you to receive more from Him.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY 

Develop the attitude of readiness to obey whatever the Lord tell you to do in the coming year

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY 

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that I receive new grace to seek the Lord. I receive the spirit of grace and supplication. My heart and the heaven above me is opened for unprecedented answers in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS 

*Father God, thank you for bringing me and my family to see this day in Jesus name

*Father God,  I submit my will to your ways. And I say yes to your instructions and revelations in Jesus name.

*Father God re-erect my broken prayer alter in my heart in Jesus name

*Father God, I confess every short coming that has been denying me answers to prayer in Jesus name

*Father God, open my ears to hear and my heart to receive thr revelation that will guarantee my elevation in life in Jesus name

TOPIC:  THE POWER OF DIVINE LIFE

TEXT: He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things (Acts 17:25).

When God made Adam, he didn’t come to life until God breathed into him (see Gen. 2:7). Breath gives life, both spiritually and physically. Health experts say that there are certain health benefits to clear and proper breathing. 

In addition to other important lifestyle changes, some reports have said that deep and proper breathing techniques can reduce high blood pressure by increasing oxygen in the blood. Many who have suffered from things such as allergies, asthma, and similar conditions that affect the ability to take clear and deep breaths know how a lack of good breathing can reduce the quality of life. When God breathed into Adam, it gave him physical life. Then later, Jesus breathed on His disciples to receive the Holy Spirit which gave them spiritual life (see John 20:22). Acts 17:25 says that God gives both life and breath and provision for all things.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Take a deep breath today and let the life of God fill your lungs and your soul. Even if your breathing has been hindered by a physical condition, do so by faith and declare that because God is the author of life you can breathe deeply. Let each deep breath cause you to you see yourself drinking in the life of God, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Receive a Holy Spirit breath of fresh air in Jesus name

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today, I declare that I receive the fresh breath of the Holy Spirit. The life of God is flowing through every veins and arteries in my body. My spirit, soul and body is renewed and invigorated in Jesus name

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD INTO YOUR DESTINY 

TEXT:  “…Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk… (Psalms 143:8).

As we prepare to go into the new year, it's important we begin to consider what that year holds and how we can follow the Lord into realising the best of what He has in store for us. God want to lead  us by giving us divine direction. 

Divine guidance or direction is very important in achieving success in any given endeavor. The daunting task of daily making the right decisions is made easier if we allow the Lord to ‘show’ us what to do.

The phrase “cause me to know” used in Psalm 143:8 from the King James is translated in some other Bible versions as “show me the way” or “teach me the way.” David is asking God to reveal the pathway to his destiny fulfilment.

Sometimes we think we  have to figure everything out, and it’s good to use our good senses and logical minds to make wise choices. However, all the wise choices in the world aren’t enough for following God into our destiny. But we can wait upon Him and expect Him to take us step by step in the pathway of our destiny fulfilment. 

 

If you are feeling today like you are unsure what the coming year holds or the next step you need to take in life or perhaps you have some difficult decisions to make today ask the Lord to show you the way. Of course, that doesn’t mean an angel with a scroll in hand will show up, and you may not have an open vision of Jesus. Although any of those things certainly could happen, the key is realizing that God will cause it to happen even in unnoticeable ways or even in what seems to be the last minute. Ask God to show you and then walk out today with confidence that He guide you in the way and bring you to the place He has prepared .

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

As you go into this day listen to the still small voice of the Spirit of God.  More often it comes like a suggestive voice within you.

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. I declare this day that I am led forth with peace and joy. God s ordering my feet into His goodness

TOPIC: THE WONDERS OF HIS NAME

TEXT: Luke 1: 31

".....And shall call His name Jesus

A person's name is  the summation of their life assignment and destiny.  Names are so sugnicant that people attach a lot of importance to giving their child a particular name. The final decision on the names given is often based on their meaning, how it sounds,and uniqueness.

There are people that God changed their names in the Bible so as to establish their destiny. And for those of us that trust in JESUS as our saviour  and are from that time on identified by His name, experience the transformation and wonder working power that the name brings.

There is a powerful significance attached to the name of JESUS. The Apostles performed miracles (Acts 3:6-7,16; 4:10) and cast out demons in His name (Luke 10:17). They spoke and taught in the name of JESUS. They baptize believers in the name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38). And its through the name of Jesus that we have access to the father(Acts 4:12).

When we become Christians we share in that worthy name. And as we follow Christ, we are able to reflect His light to any darkness we encounter, whether in our neighbourhood, workplace or home. Our prayer should be that when people see us they will see Christ.  Our name may have meaning or significance. But let's use this season to seek God deeper, so as to connect to the deeper revelation and see greater manifestation  of the name of Jesus, because the name of Jesus is the name that has the power to transform and bring about unspeakable wonders!

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Spend sometime to meditate on the name of Jesus 

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I am an evidence that Jesus is Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that in the name of JESUS I walk in total victory, and celebrate the goodness of God in this season. Amen

TOPIC:  SPREAD YOUR WINGS OF GRATITUDE 

TEXT: For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. —2 Timothy 3:11 NLT

Being grateful is not a gift it's an attitude. And the Bible in second Timothy accurately describes the days in which we live. It says that people would not be grateful. A lack of gratitude in their hearts would make them critical, rebellious, pretentious, proud, self-righteous, seeking after their own lusts, and loving pleasure more than they loved God. And nothing disconnects a believer from the benefits of God like this negative attitude.

How can you and I combat all the bad news that comes at us from every quarter and still maintain the positive  outlook on life? Philippians has the answer: "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (phil. 4:4) NKJV).

Did you know that rejoicing is an act of your will? We can and we must choose to rejoice. Why? There are three reasons:

1)God is on the throne. When God is your source, your problems become His problems, and you cease to worry.

2) Problems are not permanent. And there are no hopeless situations .In Jesus, we have hope and believe in God's power to turn things around to our favor

3) If the Devil can steal your joy, he can ransack your whole house. But when you choose joy, you open the floodgates of heaven and allow God to fill you with His blessings.

So spread your wings of gratitude and let God take you to new heights in this season.

Just spend today to be grateful for all that God did for you this week

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work I declare this day that  the LORD is my joy and the rejoicing of my life. The oil of gladness is flowing endlessly in my life and destiny in Jesus name.

TOPIC:  MAKE IT A GOOD YEAR!

TEXT: And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good… (Genesis 1:31).

God has ordered the events of this day and this season before you came into it. And God has  loaded abundance on the path of everyman but it can only be brought into manifestation through desire, faith and the spoken word. God has made all things well, no bad days, no bad year, no bad situations. To enjoy all that God has given us in this season therefore requires that we see everything in the light of how they were originally made- ‘Very good’

Looking at the many things in creation that God created, we stand in awe at how wonderful they are. We are given the account of the six days of creation, where God listed all the things He made and said they were very good. Yet often overlooked is the day when light and darkness were separated, when God created “day.” Sometimes, with all that goes on in the world we approach our day wondering what events may await us. Of course, every person has had what would seem like a bad year. However, God wants us to tap into a truth about how to have good year regardless of what occurred in the course of it. Since the Lord made the day and this year we need to agree with Him and call it good. Psalms 118:24 says, “This is the day which the Lord hath made.” This verse tells us how to make it a good year,  It says, “…we will rejoice and be glad in it.” What are we to be glad in? We are glad because it’s a good year! 

That is how we should live. Challenges can face us on any given day, but because the Lord made this year you can call it good and choose to make it a very good year!

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Live your life to the fullest today. Never give way or give in to what the enemy is doing. 

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work.

This is the year  the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I declare good things are happening in my life today. I tap into the best of all that God has loaded into this day  and this year for me in Jesus name. 

PRAYER POINTS

*Father thank you for bringing me and my family into this wonderful day in Jesus name

*Father God, thank you for ending this year for me on a note of gladness and  great rejoicing in Jesus name

*Father God, you created the the whole world in six days, in the remaining eleven days settle every outstanding matters of my life in Jesus name

*Father God, I command this day to release all the benefits loaded into this day  for me in Jesus name

*I command every power seeking to delay or deny God’s best from reaching me today, be destroyed in Jesus name

*Father God, as this day dawns let new doors of opportunities opened unto me from the North, South, East and West in Jesus name

*Father God, as the sun arises over the earth today let your glory arise over my life in a new way in Jesus name

TOPIC: THE ALL SUFFICIENT GOD

TEXT:  "He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out;

they ran in the dry places like a river"(Psalm 105:41)

This is a season of sharing with friends and loved ones. But we can only give to others what the Lord has provided for us.

Most of us can say that God is an all sufficient God. However, far fewer people can confidently say that God will fully supply their needs when their needs arise. Sometimes we limit our confidence in God to things that are humanly possible. Yet, the verse above reminds us that God brought provision

from a most unusual place that was not humanly possible. He showed His All suffiency from a place where people probably weren’t looking because it wasn’t something they could have produced. Of course, water coming from a rock is also a prophetic picture of Jesus, the Rock. In other

words, all provision comes from Him. It comes from a miraculous source. Instead of just looking

to your job or some rich uncle to come through, perhaps it’s time to refocus on Jesus. He will

bring what you need in the way you least expect, just like He did for Israel when the water came

from the rock. They were in a desert of what looked to be ultimate destitution, but suddenly a

rock opened for them! You can be certain of one thing—His provision might come from an unexpected

place, but it will always be what you need, right

on time!

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Live expectantly, live deliberately constantly on the lookout for what God will do in your life today. 

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that God's supernatural hand is intervening on my behalf. Doors are opening unto me from most unlikely places in Jesus name. 

PRAYER POINTS

*Father thank you for this great and wonderful day in Jesus name

*Father God thank you for your power that is able to do all things in my life in Jesus name

*Father God, let doors of abundance open unto me and my family in this season in Jesus name

*Father God I receive supernatural provision today. I call

upon heavenly resources and I expect the unexpected blessings of the Lord in Jesus name 

*Today I command the fountain of supernatural provisions to open up to me and my family in this season in Jesus name 

* I command the yoke of poverty and suffering operating in my life break by fire now in Jesus name
