TOPIC: GRATITUDE FOR A NEW ALTITUDE

TEXT: For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. —2 Timothy 3:11 NLT

Being grateful is not a gift it's an attitude. And the Bible in second Timothy accurately describes the days in which we live. It says that people would not be grateful. A lack of gratitude in their hearts would make them critical, rebellious, pretentious, proud, self-righteous, seeking after their own lusts, and loving pleasure more than they loved God. And nothing disconnects a believer from the benefits of God like this negative attitude.

How can you and I combat all the bad news that comes at us from every quarter and still maintain the positive  outlook on life? Philippians has the answer: "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (phil. 4:4) NKJV).

Did you know that rejoicing is an act of your will? We can and we must choose to rejoice. Why? There are three reasons:

• God is on the throne. When God is your source, your problems become His problems, and you cease to worry.

• Problems are not permanent. In Jesus, there are no permanent problems.

• If the Devil can steal your joy, he can ransack your whole house. But when you choose joy, you open the floodgates of heaven and allow God to fill you with His blessings.

So spread your wings of gratitude and let God take you to new heights in this season.

Just spend today to be grateful for all that God did for you this week

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work I declare this day that  the LORD is my joy and the rejoicing of my life. The oil of gladness is flowing endlessly in my life and destiny in Jesus name.

*Father God, let the river of joy break forth in my life and Family in Jesus name

*Father God, I reject the spirit of heaviness and  bitterness in my life and household in Jesus name

*Father God, make every day of this month a joy in my career, business and family in Jesus name

*Father God, thank you I am grateful for all you have done and will do for me in Jesus name
