TOPIC: GET FREE FROM HURTS

TEXT: Love…takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]
(1Corinthians 13:5 AMP).

Dr. Kenneth Copeland said “Strife will destroy the root of your increase”.  Often when people hurt us, we develop subconscious mental lists of their faults.

Most of the time, we don’t deliberately formulate these lists, but when someone mentions that person’s name an entire host of hurtful memories suddenly resurfaces. When First Corinthians 13:5 says that love doesn’t take account of the hurtful things done to it, it is saying that love doesn’t keep lists of the faults of others. Of course, the devil will always make sure there are plenty of people available to hurt you, especially in the areas where you are the weakest. This makes it even harder to tear up those lists and the hurt keeps resurfacing. Eventually, if we are not careful we form our future outlook and actions based on some of the hurts from these lists without even realizing it. The only way to be free is to tear up your lists. Perhaps you may even consider creating a literal list of those who hurt you. Declare that you forgive them, then finish by actually tearing up the list. If we don’t tear up these lists, whether literally or figuratively, they will always have the power to come back and hurt us. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you tear up your lists today so you can be free!

Get free from hurt by refusing to keep scores with those that have hurt you.

I am evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work therefore I declare that I am an object of God’s love. I am free of strife and bitterness, the love of God is flowing over in my life to the world in Jesus name
