TOPIC:  THE OIL OF THANKSGIVING

Text: "If one offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall
offer with the thank offering unleavened cakes
mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with
oil, and cakes of fine flour mixed with oil" (Lev. 7:12 AMP)

This is our month of Thanksgiving celebration and many of us already have a lot to be thankful for. As we are preparing to cross over into the coming year, it's also important for to prepare a list of all the good things The LORD has done for us this year so we can offer an acceptable sacrifice of thanksgiving to Him.

When God taught the priests of the Old
Testament to bring an offering of thanksgiving
before Him, they were instructed to bring it in
the form of unleavened cakes mixed with oil.
These two elements are key ingredients that
have prophetic significance for us in how we
offer praise to the Lord today. We know the
unleavened bread represented purity and a holy
lifestyle (see 1 Cor. 5:6-8). Oil represents the
anointing of the Holy Spirit. Notice in the verse
above that the unleavened cakes were brushed
over with oil.
When we offer thanksgiving to the Lord in the
environment of a holy lifestyle, the oil of the
Holy Spirit washes over us and our lives literally
become covered in the anointing. One of the
ways David offered thanksgiving to God all
through the Book of Psalms was to rehearse a
list of things God had done for him. Rehearse to
God the good He has done for you and allow that
praise to cause the oil of a fresh anointing to
wash over every aspect of your life today. As you begin to do this all though this day and this month,  miracles and blessing will be sure to
follow. So rejoice.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

In all things learn to give thanks by making a list of all He has done for you.

WORD CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. And I declare this day that the oil of gladness and great joy is flowing in my life. I receive the garment of praise today for the spirit of heaviness in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER POINTS
*Farther God, thank you for your faithfulness and mercy over my life and family in Jesus name.
*Father God, the oil of Thanksgiving continue to flow in my life and family in Jesus name
*Father God, let your loving kindness never depart from me and my family in Jesus name
*Father God, let your faithfulness follow me and my family to the end of this year in Jesus name
*Father God, let your mercy shield me and my family in Jesus name
*Father God, let any power that wants to contest my thanksgiving celebration this year be shattered in Jesus name
*Father God, let divine incidents that will spark uncommon gladness I my life and family begin to manifest in Jesus name
*Father God, let the sound of rejoicing and celebration never ceases in my household in Jesus name.
*Thank you Father for hearing and answering my prayers in Jesus name.
