LIGHT FOR THE WAY

Topic: Caring For The Caregiver
Text: "Those who are taught the word of God should
provide for their teachers, sharing all good things
with them" (Galatians 6:6 NLT).
All of us who have studied the Bible know the
time and effort it takes to extract the depths of
revelation hidden in God’s Word. We need to
appreciate those who have given their lives to
bring us the good Word of God. Their countless
hours and years of study have given us a
priceless wealth of teaching. Because of that,
the Bible tells
us we should support them and share good
things with them. In a day when false doctrine is
rampant, we need to express our appreciation to
the teachers who have been faithful to present
us with sound doctrine. Some of those are
national ministries that we watch on television or
online. We need to ask God how we can show
support to them through offerings or encouraging
letters. Other teachers are mentors and pastors
who are closer in our lives, and we should
express our appreciation to them on an even
higher scale because of the closer relationship.
We can’t forget that those who deliver God’s
Word, whether on a national or local scale, are on
the front lines. They often carry a heavy load in
managing ministries and helping people receive a
touch from God.
Pray about how you can reach out to the
teachers and mentors in your life today. God
expects it, and your support does not go
unnoticed by the Lord.
PRAYER
Father, I thank You for every teacher and mentor
You have placed in my life. I ask You to strengthen
them and bless their ministry. Show me how I can
encourage and support them. In Jesus’ Name,
amen.
