Topic: Take Back Your Possessions

Text:  "…And the house of Jacob shall possess their
possessions" (Obadiah 1:17).

When it comes to God we should never assume
that a miracle is too late or can’t happen. When
it seemed Israel lost what they had, God
prophesied through Obadiah that they would
possess their possessions or “reclaim their
inheritance” (Obad. 1:17 NLT). The house of
Jacob represents those who are of the Holy
Spirit. Jacob in the Bible became Israel in the
Old Testament, but in the New he represents the
Church, or “house of the Holy Spirit.”
Prophetically speaking, this verse reveals that
God has a plan for His people to reclaim their
inheritances that seem to have been lost for a
season. Sometimes, we let the devil take them
from us. Commonly, our lack of knowledge,
lethargy, or even mind-sets cause us to let loose
of things in our spiritual heritage. For similar
reasons, Israel let go of what God gave them,
but the time came for them to take it back.
Look at the things in your life today that you are
supposed to have ownership of and take them
back. Perhaps it’s healing, peace of mind,
deliverance, or even business-related things. If
so, it’s time to reclaim your peace, health, and
liberty in Christ. Stand up today and make a
decision to take it back!

PRAYER

Father, I know that I have a heritage in Christ on
this earth that promises certain blessings. I
choose today to take back those that have been
lost. I reclaim ________________________ and I say it
belongs to me and will be returned right now. In
Jesus’ Name, amen.
