PRAISE YOUR WAY INTO VICTORY

LIGHT FOR THE WAY
(Daily Devotional)

Wednesday 12th October 2016

Topic: Praise Your Way Into Victory

Text: "Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad
and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of
Jerusalem" (Zephaniah 3:14).

There is something powerful about praise; it just
does something on the inside of you. It melts
away frustration and pain. Praise and shouting
have a way of breaking heaviness from your
mind. I think that is the reason the Bible is full
of verses about singing, shouting, and praising
God. When it comes to deliverance, praise is a
key to opening prisons in your life like nothing
else. It has its own unique way of restoring your
joy. Now, the problem is that when heavy
weights try to hold you down, you don’t always
feel like rejoicing. Actually, that is when we feel
like praising the least. Haven’t you noticed that
when you are in a good mood, it’s easy to hum a
tune, whistle, or sing? Now, when you’re sad or
upset, it’s a whole different ballgame! Yet that is
the time to make yourself sing. This is the most
crucial time to rejoice. To rejoice means to have
such exceeding joy that you even spin or dance.
In other words, it is joy and it comes over and
over again. Sometimes you will have to make
yourself do that, but what starts as a forced
effort will result in a release of peace and joy.
Sing over the things that you are dealing with
today. Dance over them and let heaviness melt
from your life!

PRAYER
Lord, I step into rejoicing today. I shout and sing
over all my situations, and I believe that heaviness
will leave and be replaced by peace. Thank You,
Lord, for the breakthrough of praise that I receive
right now! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
