TOPIC: GROWING IN GRACE

TEXT: “…But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter3:18)

At our spiritual birth every believer received a measure of grace (Rom.1:5). In other words there is no graceless child of God. we all have received grace. However it’s not enough to receive grace its important to grow in the same. Why? Your spiritual progress and results are determined by the measure of the grace of God at work in your life. Secondly, the grace of yesterday is not enough to handle today’s challenges. Therefore you need to grow in grace to meet the daily and the future challenges you face. How you grow in grace?

1) By walking in the light of God word. Psalm 119:105 says “Thy word is lamp unto my feet and light unto my path”.  By deliberately living and making the word of God the guiding principle of your life, you are ushered from level of grace to another.

2) By intimately fellowshipping with Lord: Grace is a spiritual material and God is an embodiment of grace (John 1:16). Therefore, the more you fellowship with God in praise, worship and prayer the more His grace will be release upon your life and God’s greater grace will begin to rub off on you. The fact the is, grace is the answer we get when we go to God in prayer, “…And find grace for help in times of need”(Heb.4:

3) By walking in humility: God’s grace is given to the humble not the proud and the high minded (1Pet.5:5). To be humble means accepting who God says you are. You lose out on God grace when you are trying to be who God has not made to be. The more humble you are the more grace is imparted to you.

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

To grow in grace begin to practice the three keys above.

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that the grace of God overflows in my life, therefore, God goodness, solutions and prosperity overflow in every area of my life in Jesus name

*Father God, let the grace that will eliminate disgrace from my life rest on me now in Jesus name

*Father God, let the wings of grace carry me to greater heights in every area of life in Jesus name

*Thank you Father for your amazing grace at work in my life in Jesus name
