TOPIC: REACH FOR MORE OF GOD

TEXT: He who walks with the wise shall be wise… (Pro 13:20)

There are people whose lives challenge you to reach for more of God; they normally would stoke the fire within you to be all you can be. When God brings such people around you, feed off them! When you have little or no water in your own well, be willing to draw it from theirs. 

Elisha spent many years living in Elisha’s shadows, but he saw it as a privilege, not a put down. He was willing to set up tents, cook meals, wash cloths and run errands because it meant he would experience firsthand some of the greatest miracles in history.  As a result, Elisha said to Elijah ‘I want double portion of the spirit at work in you’ (2Kings 2:9). And before his life was over Elisha worked twice as much miracles as Elijah. Understand this: you must have a foundation and you can’t build it without help.

Seeing God bless someone should challenge you to reach for more of God. This is not envy but strong desire for deeper connection with the Doer of all good things. It’s knowing that if God can do it for that person, He will also do the same for you. Look at Hannah, Elkanah’s wife, she wanted a child. To stir her up God used Penninah who was married to the same man but was able to bear children. The more Hannah saw Peninah have children, the more she wanted to have her own children. The more she wanted to have her own children, the more she sought God. Never allow the success of others push you into hate, rage or jealousy. But learn to rejoice over the blessing of others. Let it push you to reach for more of God in prayers, in the study of the word and in service in His Kingdom. God is not a respecter of persons what he has done for one He will do for you (Act 10:34).

ACTION PLAN FOR TODAY

Decide to walk deeper and closer with God this week. As this will guarantee the release of your expected miracles.

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that I receive grace reach for more of God. Therefore, I connect to my higher grounds, I connect to solutions, and I connect to my destiny possessions in Jesus name

*Father God, cause your face to shine upon my life in Jesus name

*Father God, as this month is ending, bring the chapter of negativity to a close in my life in Jesus name

*Father God, as this month is ending, bring the chapter of hardship and struggling to a close in my life in Jesus name

*Father God, as I go into the month of November open a new chapters of divine wonders in my life in Jesus name

*O God of breakthroughs, go ahead of me into the new months and make way for me where there is no way in Jesus name

*O King of Glory let the gates to unprecedented glory be opened unto me in the coming month in Jesus name

*Prince of peace let your peace take over the affairs of my life in Jesus name

*Thank you LORD for hearing and answering my prayers in Jesus name
