TOPIC: MANIFESTING THE PROMISES OF GOD

TEXT: "The righteous shall flourish like palm tree...they shall still bear fruit in old age" Psalm 92:12,14

The word has the power for self-fulfillment. In other words it will come to pass regardless of the circumstances, the time, place or the age of the recipient. If God has spoken to you, hold on to the word, because even in old age you will still manifest His promises in your life.

The story was told of  how Israeli doctors and scientist successfully germinated a 2000 year old date palm seed. Found at the Herodian fortress of Masada, the seed was tagged 'Methuselah' for the man with oldest record age in the Bible (Gen. 5:27). In addition to the challenge of awakening a long dormant seed, the team also wanted to learn more about the tree praised for its beauty, shade, food and medical qualities. The date palm has an important role in the Bible. In the Old Testament, the tree is linked to the temple and presence of God. The New Testament describes an excited crowd praising God and throwing palm branches at the feet of Jesus as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

God's promise to bless the world through Abraham's descendants also lay dormant for 2000 years (see Gen. 12:1-3). Finally, the seed of promise sprouted. That seed is Jesus, the long awaited Messiah. Soon the story of His resurrected life would go out to all the world.

The miracle is now ours to experience. Time is not a factor. Neither is barren ground of circumstances. All that matters is that as we take another turn into a new month we should allow our hearts to be the soil in which Christ is welcomed and His promises renewed, remembering that God never makes a promise He will not keep.

WORD CONFESSION

I am an evidence that Jesus Christ is alive and at work. Today I declare that I am bringing forth the fruits of the promises of God. I am flourishing with the grace of God; I am stable, durable majestic, incorruptible and useful to God and to my generation in Jesus name

*Father thank you for bringing me and my family into this new day in Jesus name

*Lord, let every promise in your word concerning my destiny come into speedy fulfillment in Jesus name

*Lord God, whatever is killing the seed of fruitfulness die by fire in Jesus name

Lord God, make my life a fruitful field in Jesus name

*Every power arresting my growth and advancement in life, be destroyed by fire in Jesus name.

*O Lord God cultivate the soil of my life for uncommon harvest of miracles this week in Jesus name

*I command the grounds of my careers, business and profession, begin to bring forth abundantly in Jesus name

*Rivers of living water flow and bring new life into my career and business this week in Jesus name
