"In quietness and confidence shall be your strength" (Isaiah 30:15)

WINNING OVER STRESS

When the stock market plunged an investor asked his broker if he was worried. " Nope, I slept like a baby! I just sleep for an hour, then  I wake up and cry all night'.
Our capacity for handling stress is limited. Researchers have discovered that we all have our breaking points, there us just so much we can take when we are stretched to the limits. Financial, marital , work place and careers pressures can really stress us to the limits.  Emotionally and physically you are stretched to the breaking point and there is no relief in sight. Be careful: living in an emotional danger zone can make you a target for the devil who has you in his cross hairs! Under pressure, you succumb to temptations much more easily than when you're rested. That's why preventing stress is always better than trying to deal with it when its full blown.
Isaiah said ' in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.' And Paul adds: 'Dont worry...pray about everything...if you do...you will experience God's peace, which is more wonderful than the mind can understand. His peace will keep...your hearts as you trust in Jesus (Philipian 4:6-7TLB). Nobody understands your stress like Jesus. That's why he says ' Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and you will find rest for your souls(Matthew 11:28-29NLT). So stop pushing so hard. Give your concerns to God. He wants to help carry your burdens today.

Prayer Point

Father, I cast all my cares, worries and anxieties upon you. Thank you because you care for me in Jesus name.
