GETTING GOD'S ATTENTION BY FAITH

The Bible says: "A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could  heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. "Who touched me"? Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, " the people are crowding and pressing against you". But Jesus said, "someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me". Then the woman seeing that she could no longer go unnoticed, came trembling and...told why she has touched him and how she has been instantly healed. The he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace"(Luk.8:48).
There are three significant things about things about this story:
1) She did something she has never done before. She decided to try Jesus. Wise move! Faith means stepping into the unknown and untried, finding God's grace at work in unexpected ways
2) She knew when her moment came. She knew that Jesus was visiting her town, and might not be back. There are God's moment in life when you've got to overcome your fear and move out in faith. If you don't, you will miss them.
3) Her victory, became catalyst for others victory. Up until this time, no one in scripture had been healed by touching Jesus garment. So her faith opened the door for others. 'People brought all their sick to Him and begged Him to let the sick just touch the edge if His cloak, and all who touched Him were healed"(Matthew 14:35-36).
God is looking for people who will break the tradition. When He finds them, He uses them to open the doors and new dimension of His power, so that others might be blessed and made whole.

Prayer Point

Father, as i  take steps of faith today, confirm and honour your word in my life in Jesus name.
